Hans Keller Forum

ChamberStudio provide training to some of the most promising young chamber music ensembles emerging today and have just launched the Hans Keller Forum, a set of three 3-day residential courses held at the University of Cambridge’s West Road Concert Hall. ChamberStudio asked me along to the first set of courses to capture some images of the ensembles beginning their journey on the programme.

Alongside the course, Hannah Uzor is creating artwork inspired by the workshops and performances.

The course is named after Hans Keller, a performer and academic with a deep love and understanding of chamber music and in particular the Haydn Quartets. Susi Woodhouse, curator of the Hans Keller Archive at the University Library, shared some of his insights in a lecture that evening.

The next course takes place in Cambridge between 4 – 6 January – I highly recommend anyone in the city who is interested in chamber music makes a visit. It’s always fascinating to see how chamber musicians work, rehearse and talk about the music they’re interpreting.
